This wall quilt features an appliquéd sun dyed with marigold and radiating bands of quilted embroidery thread also dyed with marigold. After being pieced, quilted, and finished, the piece was put through a process to bleed the natural dye to create a variegated effect on the surface.
22 3/4" x 9 1/4"
Two wood bands create stabilize and allow the quilt to be hung.
Vintage cotton fabric, botanically dyed cotton thread, cotton batting, cotton thread.
